Wild Again will always be remembered as the
winner of the very first Breeders’ Cup Classic, run
at Hollywood Park in 1984. He will also go down in history
as a pretty good stallion, too. He has sired the winners
of many of North America’s most prestigious races.
He is sire of two Canadian Champions in Free At Last and
Wilderness Song and his son Sarava was a Classic winner,
taking the 2002 Belmont Stakes over Medaglia D’Oro.
Among his progeny’s other big wins are the Met Mile
(Wild Rush), Santa Anita H. (Milwaukee Brew) and Florida
Derby (Vicar). Wild Again was pensioned in 2004. His last
crop will run in 2007.

of $360,000 (12% of the $3 million purse), became the winner
of the first ever Breeders' Cup Classic defeating favored
Slew O' Gold and Preakness winner Gate Dancer. The stretch
run of this race was one of the most exciting in Breeder's
Cup history.
Wild Again won $2,204,829 in his career and finished in
the money in 19 of 28 starts. He has sired 4 champions,
43 graded stakes winners, 81 stakes winners, and 72 stakes
placers. His progeny have earned over $72,000,000 at the
track.
